PRIMEX Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Elvira C. Ablaza, was invited by the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) to speak at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Business Opportunities Seminar (BOS) in London on 3 September 2010.

ADB was represented by Mr. Ignatius Santoso, Director of ADB’s COS 2, and Mr. Anders Petterson, Procurement Specialist in charge of Pacific projects.

Ms Ablaza, who shared lessons and insights about the PRIMEX experience with ADB, was very much appreciated by most of the 58 seminar participants, who considered her insights as invaluable inputs for improving their business opportunities with ADB.

"It was a rare privilege for a Philippine consulting firm to talk to UK consulting firms about its experiences in doing business with ADB," Ms. Ablaza said. "This is another affirmation that PRIMEX is well-positioned and highly regarded in the consulting industry."

In her talk, Ms. Ablaza touched on the success factors that placed PRIMEX at the top of ADB's list of Philippine consulting firms while sharing lessons learned from over 20 years of working with ADB. PRIMEX has consistently ranked among the Top 3 Philippine consulting firms doing business with ADB, and from 2005-2009, PRIMEX ranked No. 1 among Filipino ADB-registered consulting firms in terms of volume and value of loan-funded contracts and No. 2 in terms of technical assistance contracts.

Apart from her talk, Ms. Ablaza spent one-on-one consultations with several British consulting firms which expressed interest in collaborating with PRIMEX in the future. (Arvin Yana/PRIMEX News)
