Posted on October 2010 PRIMEX Director Dr. Jerome F. Sison has been engaged by ADB to lead the development of a regional technical assistance project on Sustainable Forest and Biodiversity Management in the Heart of Borneo (HOB). Dr. Sison's engagement requires him to review and assess policy and institutional frameworks in Indonesia, propose specific policy and institutional reform goals relevant to the project, assess capacity and training needs of key stakeholders, and estimate the costs and benefits of a full-sized project on Sustainable Forest and Biodiversity Management in Borneo, in accordance with ADB and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) formats. He has also been asked to provide microenterprise development inputs in the design of the Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction (JFPR)-supported grant component of the HOB Project.
