PRIMEX Senior Economist Kazuyuki Nagao has been fielded as Financial Management Specialist for an ADB technical assistance project (TA 4972-NEP) to prepare the comprehensive design of the emerging towns sector development program for the Ministry of Physical and Planning Works (MPPW) in Nepal.

Led by the Finnish consulting firm, FCG International Ltd., TA 4972 is expected to formulate a comprehensive program design consisting, among others, of a revised urban water and sanitation sector policy and development plan, institutional assessment, and a policy matrix for proposed sector improvements.

In addition, a feasibility study of an investment project on integrated water supply and sanitation in emerging towns will be undertaken for possible ADB loan financing. The project will emphasize inclusive development and responds to needs expressed by the community regarding priority infrastructure.

Nagao's engagement started in April 2008 and will be completed in September 2008.
