Posted in April 2011 The PRIMEX directors, management, and staff hosted a reception at the PRIMEX office for a visiting UK delegation on 4 March 2011. The group, led by Nigel Peters, Project Director of the UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) Aid-funded Business Service based in London, was in Manila to attend the ADB Business Opportunities Fair held on 2-4 March 2011. They were accompanied by Mr. Fidel Ventura and Ms. Joyce Guzon of the UKTI office in Manila. The UK delegation comprised 10 representatives of 12 UK consulting firms in different sectors ranging from education to environment. The reception was an excellent opportunity for PRIMEX to get to know the UK firms capabilities and areas of interest and identify potential areas for collaboration on future ADB projects in the Philippines and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region. In October 2010, Ms. Elvira Ablaza, PRIMEX President and CEO, was invited by UKTI Manila to serve as Resource Person at the ADB Business Opportunities Seminar held in London. Her presentation on PRIMEX’s experiences in doing business with ADB was very well-received and highly appreciated by the seminar participants.
