PRIMEX's commitment to quality has been formalized with its ISO 9001:2008 certification from QAS International on 12 August 2010.
Early this year, PRIMEX signed up with the International Management Systems Marketing (IMSM), a noted UK-based independent international standards advisor, to prepare the company to meeting the requirements set out for the ISO 9001 category.
Apart from the obvious benefit of opening up market opportunities where ISO:9001 certification is a requirement, the PRIMEX ISO certification also means it now has a structure to improve its processes.
Compared to other ISO standards, ISO 9001:2008 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization (i) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and (ii) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
"Your decision to pursue certification will help support you in the marketing, processes, and the overall commitment to quality improvement," said QAS International in its congratulatory message to PRIMEX. (Arvin Yana/PRIMEX News)
