PRIMEX and its associate, Techtrade Asiaphil, Inc. (TECHTRADE), were commissioned by the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise to conduct a Scoping Study of the ADB Training Market for New Zealand institutions and firms in support of the formulation of the New Zealand Education Sector Strategy. The Study, which commenced on 13 October 2008, is to run for 10 weeks.
The Study will generally provide an overview of the ADB market, with focus on the historical involvement of New Zealand companies in the Bank’s training activities in the last four years; identify niche and emerging opportunities which will help New Zealand position itself as a provider of quality technical training solutions to its target market segments in ADB; identify key strategic partners/influencers in the ADB sector and major players/competitors offering training opportunities which New Zealand can form long-term linkages with; and to address possible hurdles in the ADB market that will affect New Zealand’s marketing strategies and recommend an approach to address these issues.
The Study Team is composed of Mr. Ped dela Cruz, Team Leader, and Mr. Ronald Sioson, Research Assistant. PRIMEX CEO Elvira Ablaza and TECHTRADE Managing Director Rene Carlos Mendoza serve as Study Advisers. Their NZTE counterparts are Mr. Ramoncito Bernales, Trade Commissioner, and Ms. Cheril Chua, Business Development Manager.
