Posted on 11 May 2010 PRIMEX has been engaged by JTA International (JTAI), an Australian consulting and program management company specializing in health, to undertake an environmental health impact assessment (EHIA) for the Tampakan Copper-Gold Project in South Cotabato, Mindanao, Philippines. The EHIA, designed for Sagittarius Mines, Inc. (SMI), will complement the environment and social impact assessment and allow the Tampakan Project to meet the Philippine National Framework and Guidelines for EHIA and will enable SMI to meet relevant international standards and internal policies for social and environmental sustainability. The PRIMEX EHIA Team is composed of Dr. Juan Perez, Public Health Specialist/Team Leader; Ms. Josefina Ma. Pavico, Research Officer; and Ms. Erlinda O. Pamesa, Administrative Assistant. |
