PRIMEX President and Chief Executive Officer Elvira C. Ablaza has been designated by the Confederation of Filipino Consulting Organizations (COFILCO) as Chairperson of a forthcoming Seminar on Business Development Opportunities for Consultants in Foreign-funded Development Projects in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region. Ms Ablaza is a past president of COFILCO, and the first female to serve in that capacity since the organization was established about two decades ago.
The Seminar, scheduled on 31 May – 1 June 2007 at the Richmonde Hotel in Ortigas Center, Pasig City, will bring together officials of the major official development assistance (ODA) agencies who are expected to present their program/project thrusts and priorities for assistance, as well as their consulting services procurement practices, procedures, and guidelines, to the Philippine consulting industry. It is the first time that the major multilateral and bilateral agencies (ADB, WB, AusAID, EC, JBIC, and JICA) have been invited at one gathering to interact with consulting firms and individuals and provide them with information that will assist them in gaining a bigger share of the consulting services market in the region.
More information about the Seminar may be obtained by downloading COFILCO’s Advertisement or by contacting Ms. Cherry Dalmacio of the COFILCO Secretariat at tel. no. 811-6671, fax no. 813-2578, and e-mail at cofilco_secretariat@yahoo.com or Ms. Normie G.
