Description:  The 2009 UNICEF Manual on HIV Counseling, Handbook, and Toolkit were developed for trainers, counselors in training, and working counselors, respectively, to assist them in delivering high-quality HCT services.  However, as this UNICEF Manual is more focused on most-at-risk populations (MARPs), it has been suggested that the Manual be tailored to suit the level of education and expected skills of service providers and help enhance its effectiveness as a training tool in HCT. Thus, the project will focus on the revision and development of target-specific training manuals, handbooks, and toolkits for HIV counseling and treatment. More specifically, it aims to:

(i)        develop training manuals and handbooks on HCT to be used by service providers in OFW clinics, social workers, and CBOs based on the needs of clients and the expected skills of specific service providers;

(ii)       set up a pool of local trainers of the target-specific manuals developed under the project; and develop a capability-building plan for the roll out of HCT among OFW clinic service providers, social workers, and CBOs.
