PRIMEX hosts Indonesian senior fisheries officials in Manila

 

PRIMEX President and CEO Elvira Ablaza led the company’s officers and CTI KM consultants in welcoming senior officials from Indonesia’s Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF) who were in Manila to attend the Regional CTI KM Needs Assessment and SCTR Workshop.

These officials included Mr. Sudirman Saad, Director General of Coasts, Marine, and Small Islands; Dr. Suseno Sukoyono, Senior Adviser to the Minister and Vice-Chairman of the Interim CTI Regional Secretariat; Mr. Narmoko Prasmadji, Senior Adviser to the Minister and Chairman of the CTI National Coordinating Committee (NCC); Mr. Eko Rudianto, First Secretary of the Interim CTI Regional Secretariat; and Dr. Jamaluddin Jompa, Executive Secretary of the COREMAP-II Project Management Office.

PRIMEX has a long history of working with Indonesia’s fisheries ministry, serving as Project Management Consultant (PMC) during the implementation of the ADB loan-funded Coastal Community Development and Fisheries Resource Management (COFISH) Project ADB Loan 1570/1571 [SF]-INO) from November 1998 to December 2004, and of COREMAP-II from April 2005 to the present.

PRIMEX also prepared the design of COFISH under an ADB project preparation technical assistance project (TA No. 2529-INO) from July 1996 to February 1997, and its President and CEO was engaged by ADB as staff consultant/monitoring, control, and surveillance (MCS) specialist to assist the ADB loan fact-finding and appraisal missions in preparing the design of COREMAP-II.
