PRIMEX seeks ISO 9001:2008 certification

To concretize its commitment to international standards on quality management, PRIMEX has signed up with the International Management Systems Marketing (IMSM), a noted independent international standards advisor, for International Standards Organization (ISO) certification.

An IMSM assessor is scheduled to arrive this month to work with PRIMEX management and staff and guide them in the firm’s bid for ISO certification.

Ms. Elvira C. Ablaza, President and CEO, said the move is expected to help support PRIMEX in establishing efficient systems, procedures and marketing “on top of our overall commitment to quality improvement.”

ISO 9001:2008, one of the numerous ISO sets of standards, specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization (i) needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products or services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and (ii) aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

In the last decade, PRIMEX has consistently ranked among the Top 5 Philippine consulting firms doing business with ADB, and from 2004-2008, PRIMEX ranked No. 1 among Filipino ADB-registered consulting firms in terms of volume and value of technical assistance contracts and No. 2 in terms of loan-funded contracts.
