ATTY. ANGELICA Y. SANTIAGO – Director & Corporate Secretary

Atty. Santiago is the Managing Partner of the Santiago, Cruz, and Associates Law Offices. She received training from her father, the late Atty. Francisco B. Santiago, a well-respected member of the legal profession and Member of the Judicial and Bar Council, and her mother, retired Supreme Court Justice Consuelo Ynares-Santiago.

After graduating from law school, Atty. Santiago immediately joined her father at F.B. Santiago, Nalus & Associates. It was during that period when she honed her skills in Litigation, Domestic and Family Relations, and Corporate Law. She attended various seminars and conferences, both here and abroad, to enhance her knowledge of the law. Notable among these seminars were the (i) Program of Instruction for lawyers given by the Harvard Law School and the Academy of American and International Law at the University of Texas and Dallas, which she attended on a fellowship.

She is a member of the UP Women Lawyer’s Circle, the Iota Tau Tau International Legal Sorority, and the Portia Sorority. She is also a member of the Philippine Bar Association. She served as Governor of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines representing the Southern Luzon region from 2003-2005.

Atty. Santiago also serves as Corporate Secretary to several companies, some of which are: Manila Luxury Condominium Association, YS Properties, Inc., Nippon Credit, Inc. and others. She is also a Professor at the College of Law of the Lyceum of the Philippines University.

Atty. Santiago joined the PRIMEX Board of Directors in 1997 with the engagement of their law firm as Legal Counsel. As Corporate Secretary of PRIMEX, she plans and prepares the agenda for the Directors’ and Stockholders’ Meetings together with the Chairman and the President. She records the Minutes of the meetings and prepares the directors’ and stockholders’ resolutions approved and adopted at the meetings.

Atty. Santiago graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Laws at the UP College of Law in 1990 and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Communication (major in Broadcasting) (cum laude) at the UP Institute of Mass Communications in 1986. She completed her Master of Laws in International Legal Studies, with distinction, at the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC. She was recently appointed Director of the Commission on Bar Discipline of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
